Take a B&W selfie with the Qduino Mini Thermal Printer

Here's an excerpt from Atmel's blogpost about my Maker Faire project, the B&W Printer

"But first let me take a B&W selfie…

Hot on the heels of a rather successful Kickstarter campaign, Quin Etynre continues to amaze us with his pure ingenuity and passion for creating things. As the epitome of what it takes to go from Makerspace to marketplace, the 14-year-old CEO recently debuted what he calls the Qduino Mini, a tiny Arduino-compatible board equipped with a built-in battery charger and fuel gauge that can notify a user when a LiPo needs a little more juice."

How the thermal printer selfie machine works is pretty straightforward. A user stands before a webcam, presses a button, and 15 seconds later, gets an instant photo on receipt paper. As you can imagine, this would be a perfect novelty item for any birthday party, prom, wedding or just for some fun around the office."
